I don't think it was a "pain to read". What's painful about being passionate on what you want to do? Follow your projects, and take it easy!
As for the voice, I would suggest practicing by talking to yourself to a mirror, that way it'll help you be more confident. It worked for me when I did a few voice bits on old projects.
